A Friend for Fido is based in Winnetka, Illinois. We walk dogs and care for cats in Winnetka, Wilmette, Evanston, Kenilworth, Glencoe, and Northfield.
Why should I hire A Friend for Fido?
We are one of the most experienced pet care companies on the North Shore. We treat each client and their pets like family. We develop close relationships with our pets and our clients and take the trust given to us very seriously.
How do I book a walk or a kitty visit?
If you are a new client, welcome to the Friend for Fido family. Please fill out our New Client Form under Contact Us.

Will my dog be walked with other dogs?
We specialize in one-on-one leashed neighborhood walks. We believe that private walks are safer and that your pup gets our complete attention to their individual needs.
Can we meet our dog walker/kitty sitter before the first visit?
Definitely. Every pet is unique. We offer a complimentary meet and greet with Nancy and your future dog walker or kitty sitter. Your peace of mind is our top priority.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hour notice if you need to cancel a walk, but we understand life happens and will work with you.
Preferred payment method?
We accept cash, check and Venmo. Visits are billed monthly.
Do you provide pet care during the holidays?
Yes! Unlike most other dog walking companies, we do not raise our prices for holiday visits or walks. We encourage you to leave a “holiday tip” for your sitter or walker instead.
